KUALA LUMPUR Dec 31 (Bernama): Police detained a woman today to assist in investigations over a video that went viral on social media showing three children behaving dangerously in a moving vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kajang district police chief Mohd Zaid Hassan said the 34-year-old woman, believed to be the driver of a Perodua Alza, had three children in the car who were seen perched on the windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The act was dangerous and could lead to accidents, endanger the children\u2019s safety as well as the safety of other road users, Zaid said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also urged the public to ensure children\u2019s safety, adding that they should be monitored by adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zaid said the case was being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code, for endangering the lives or safety of others. Offenders can be sentenced to a maximum of three months in jail or RM500 fine or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also urged the public with information on the incident to contact the investigating officer Ahmad Rahmat Adnan at 014-515-6933 or the nearest police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
