{"id":1782,"date":"2022-04-07T03:07:26","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T03:07:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unclekentang.com\/bi\/?p=1782"},"modified":"2022-04-07T03:07:29","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T03:07:29","slug":"malaysia-in-talks-with-other-countries-to-recognise-mysejahtera-certs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unclekentang.com\/bi\/2022\/04\/07\/malaysia-in-talks-with-other-countries-to-recognise-mysejahtera-certs\/","title":{"rendered":"Malaysia in talks with other countries to recognise MySejahtera certs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>IPOH April 7 (Bernama) : The government is in talks with big countries to recognise its Covid-19 vaccination and test certificates, as done by the European Union (EU), to facilitate the movement of Malaysian travellers abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Health minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the decision of the European Commission on the recognition, effective yesterday, would allow travellers from Malaysia to venture abroad without too much hassle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey are really satisfied with the safety, the authenticity and also the accessibility (of the system), which are equal to the EU\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe science, technology and innovation ministry (Mosti) is in talks with all major countries for other destinations to recognise MySejahtera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven a few weeks ago, I went to the UK and there was no problem,\u201d he told a press conference after visiting the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement made available on the EU\u2019s website, president of the European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen said the Covid-19 vaccination and test certificates issued by Malaysia were in accordance with the Union\u2019s Vaccine Management System and were considered to be equivalent to those issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021\/953.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Khairy said he had been called to give a statement on April 14 to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on the issue of the development and procurement of the MySejahtera application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have nothing to hide.
