{"id":1833,"date":"2022-04-18T06:27:14","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T06:27:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unclekentang.com\/bi\/?p=1833"},"modified":"2022-04-18T06:27:17","modified_gmt":"2022-04-18T06:27:17","slug":"covid-recoveries-continue-to-outstrip-new-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unclekentang.com\/bi\/2022\/04\/18\/covid-recoveries-continue-to-outstrip-new-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID recoveries continue to outstrip new cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 (Bernama) &#8212; Malaysia recorded 11,233 recoveries from COVID-19&nbsp;yesterday compared to 6,623 new cases, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said&nbsp;6,610 of the new cases were local infections, with 96.1 per cent being Malaysians and 3.9 per cent foreigners, while 13 were imported cases, with&nbsp;84.6 per cent being Malaysians and 15.4 per cent foreigners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement today,\u00a0Dr Noor Hisham said the new cases bring the cumulative figure for COVID-19 infections to\u00a04,389,025.
