Free meal coupons are available at the Social Unit of Institut Kanser Negara. It is to enable patients and their accompanying next of kin to have a proper meal when it is needed.
Many cancer patients will have their income disrupted as they need to undergo long term treatment and numerous appointments in hospitals. Their children will be affected as they struggle to go to school despite their parents unable to generate income.
Knowing that many cancer patients need to have their proper meals., Uncle Kentang team has collaborated with IKN on free meal coupons. This program was started more than a year ago and has benefited many needy patients.
The budget for this program is about RM 4000 to RM 5000 a year. It is our earnest hope that we can look for sponsors or any big corporations that will adopt this program or support the program.
